Smothers Brothers, George Carlin, Jackie Mason, Bob Newhart, Foster Brooks… it is rare for anyone in my generation to know of these legendary comedians. I, however, have grown up with a vast knowledge of humorists, as my father has performed comedy for over thirty years at the Laugh Factory, the Comedy Store, the Improv, and even Off-Broadway. His passion for making people laugh has, over the years, significantly influenced me, and I now see it as my passion as well.

I rewrote the lyrics to Fresh Prince of Bel Air to tell a university about my involvement with church activities and leadership, and how I would fit into their community through these experiences.
